THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS FOR SIAT 2013
Symposium on International Automotive Technology (SIAT) is a benchmark
event organized by ARAI biennially. SIAT serves as an important forum for exchange
of ideas and brainstorming for the automotive industry. Over the years the event has
grown in stature and is now considered as a prestigious automotive event marked by
presence of global automotive fraternity.
The forthcoming 13 Symposium on International Automotive Technology
(SIAT 2013) is scheduled at ARAI, Pune, (India) from
16 to 18 January 2013.
SIAT 2013 will focus on recent advances in different automotive areas such as Safety,
Emissions, Engines, Noise, Alternative Fuels, Electronics, Structural Evaluation,
Vehicle Engineering, Materials, etc. SIAT as usual will concentrate on technologies for
safer, cleaner and quieter vehicles. It will also focus on innovative advancements in
automotive technologies to meet future challenges.
The major challenge in front of today's auto industry is to keep abreast of safety and
environment oriented R & D efforts. Various advanced technology development areas
are to be explored to design and develop environment-friendly automobile.
SIAT provides common platform for national international experts to share their
thoughts and innovative ideas concerning developments in various fields of the
automotive technology. Overseas experts will also get a chance to interact with
counterparts from the Indian automotive OEM and Component Industry and explore
tie-ups and possible business opportunities.
SIAT EXPO 2013 being organized concurrently offers appropriate platform to
automotive and allied companies to display their products / technologies / services.
This year over 165 stalls will be available to prospective national and international
exhibitors. Tentative layout of the stall arrangements is presented herewith.
I have great pleasure in bringing out this First Announcement of SIAT 2013. The first
announcement invites professionals, engineers and academicians to present their
work in the field of automotive technology in this Symposium.
The Advisory Committee looks forward to receive wholehearted support from entire
